it appears the mystery has been solved at last (no thanks to help from the reader(s) of jl.com i might point out). Our favorite afro- americo- chinese friend curt curt was kind enough to draw up this amazingly thorough diagram detailing every step in the coffee making process. I would like to take this opportunity to thank him once again not only for the actual coffee maker but now also for the know-how to make it more than a decoration. I would also like to point out the complexity with which the Chinese have decided to make their coffee; they're good at going 'all out' i guess, i mean who builds a 4,000 mile wall?
