my chinese friend and my new zealand friend and i went to a famous park in beijing called Behai Park (for those who have been here); this one cool area of the park just had people congregated together doing random interactive things. one group was dancing to '70's music and another few groups were in random places singing off of sheet music. i decided to join in with these nice ladies so i just plopped down beside them and started to sing along to the tune (loudly) the nice lady kept pointing to the characters on the sheet music as if i could read them and know what to sing, i acted like i did and actually got the hang of the tune after a minute or two. my chinese friend is in the background on the right, he obviously loved the performance. on the way out we joined a mens group and sang a couple of songs and we were able to make out from the ensuing conversation that they were songs from movies, great fun these chinese are
