since I've resigned myself to a life that is a little busier than the average, i decided to jump into my first break from med school with both feet...it started with me leaving about 12 hours after my last final to drive 8 hours to melanie's house in Baton Rouge to hang out with her and the fam and enjoy some good Christmas cheer; we had a great time, partying it up until at least 10pm every night. i left there and returned to the big-D for a crazy streak of 4 family Christmas' in 4 days. from there melanie flew into dallas and we had a night with the fam before flying out to NYC for six days (and a new years) of hanging out in the large apple. it won't be the same this time with out Seth, i'll admit that while my companion this time has a little less body hair (hopefully) and smells a little better, i will miss the nat sherman's and model poses in central park. (i won't, however, miss bethany, little miss tip-toe-through-central-park herself.. : ) love ya beth!) we just got here today and will be hanging out and trying not to look like tourists (my pet peeve) and ringing in the new year in style. our first night here (tonight) we went to eat at a random italian place in little italy and ended up staying 2 1/2 hours and getting several free glasses of wine from the owner (in addition to the bottle we purchased) who said hanging out with three girls didn't have it's perks? i'll try to keep you posted on the details and post something-or-other about the end of the first semester of med school...until then...do you want anything from NY?
